The PLG-LC-005 plug-in is a 5V level converter plug-in for GP Series devices and Wave Generator Xpress device. It allows using the GP and Xpress Series devices with signal voltage levels higher than the 1.2V-3.3V standard of these devices, up to 5.5V.

The PLG-LC-005 is plugged onto the GP or Wave Generator Xpress device connector. It is mounted with bi-directional voltage converters and software-programmable control logic used to set each pin direction during operation. The signal power is provided with an external power supply connector and allows operation from 3.3V to 5.5V. Signal direction is  automatically controlled from the 8PI Control Panel software, when the mode of operation of the device is selected.

8PI Control Panel version 1.06 or higher MUST be used to control PLG-LC-005.
